Big Square Baler

Our baler is a Massey Ferguson 187 which produces a bale 1.2 metres wide by 88 cms high or in imperial 4'x3' and you choose the length.  This baler is a six string machine rather than the five strings of some of the competitors.  As with the forage wagon this machine will be a twin axle, the rear wheels of which are steering and so saves scrubbing on headlands.  This twin axle design also has the benefits of us being able to travel to you at 50kph and a lower ground pressure when working. Running this machine behind the JD 7530 or our Claas Axion 820 will give unprecedented results (last season an 8' bale every 30 seconds was quite common).  With 230 hp up front even the steepest slopes should pose no problems and being square bales no more run aways!! 

To cope with the demand for this machine we are currently looking to add a further baler, to offer huge through put in catchy weather and even greater reliability!  Ensuring a baler is available as and when required!

To complement our considerable experience of square baling both in this country and abroad we have added a moisture meter.  This meter is dual purpose in that it is an integral part of the chamber and so will keep the driver up to date with the current moisture of the crop being baled, this is updated 4 times a second and then averaged on the display in the cab and so will keep us informed at all times, monitoring the moisture of every bale.  We are also able to remove this meter from the baler and probe random bales for moisture tests.  With this meter we should be able to give to you the customer a much more reliable service ensuring good qualtiy hay, silage or straw at all times.
